FREE WORKSHOP - 11 AM to Noon - Growing Backyard Mushrooms! In this free workshop, Jason Schmidt, a local gardener, will explain the basics of growing shiitake, oyster and wine cap mushrooms, from the “inoculation” to the care of the log, harvesting and how to use them in your cooking. At the workshop, you will also have the opportunity to sign up to make your own Shiitake log on March 7 at the Winter Farmers’ Market at an “Inoculation Station.” Recipes from the workshop are here.
